The USHBC is a national Promotion and Research organization located in Folsom, California. We represent growers of blueberries in 38 states and importers as well. Export market development is an important aspect of our organization and we have been conducting activities abroad for decades. USHBC Headquarters staff are assisted by Thomas J. Payne Market Development on operations in the field. We contract with in country representatives in several countries including: China, India, Japan and Taiwan.
>Export Market Development - USHBC funds activities with grower assessments and also participates in US Department of Agriculture "Cooperator" programs such as the Market Access Program (MAP), Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops (TASC); Quality Samples Program (QSP) and other grant programs. USHBC partners with the USDA-Foreign Agriculture Service (FAS) in countries around the world along with State and Regional Trade Associations.
>Market Access - USHBC and the North American Blueberry Council (NABC) works with the USDA-Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) on gaining market access for US blueberries to restricted markets.
