Payne Market Developments serves as prime contractor for the US Highbush Blueberry Council for market development activities in the export markets.  We post requests for proposals on this site for companies and individuals with specialized skills. South Korea - 2015

March 1, 2015 - Korea Fresh Market Promotions 2015.  Code-KR-2015-001  Closed 
USHBC seeks a qualified contractor to  conduct promotional activities for fresh blueberries in South Korea during the 2015 season, which is anticipated to run from June to September 2015.  
Specific Reference Activities:
>Trade Seminar.   Selected vendor will orchestrate a pre-season seminar on fresh blueberries which will include selecting a venue, preparation of event including invitation of attendees which will include importers, retailers and other channel partners.   Goal is for around 30 attendees.    Selected vendor will arrange a presentation on fresh blueberries with input from USHBC.  At the end of the activity, selected vendor will prepare a report on the activity including contact names, photos and comments and evaluations of the activity.   
>Marketing Assistance. Selected vendor will serve as prime in country contractor for a four month fresh blueberry promotion in South Korea.   This will include development of a in-store promotion plan with a goal of 300 plus promotion days, develop a comprehensive public relations plan for the fresh market activities including media coverage, in store events, online marketing and blog activity.    Selected vendor will be paid a set fee for the activity which will be separate from subcontracted activities outlined in an activity plan.  Activities for subcontracted work to suppliers such as in store demonstrators, public relations firms and other service and materials suppliers will be solicited through competitive bid for best value for USHBC and the prime vendor will handle payments to the subcontractors and provide payment vouchers and receipts for payment to USHBC. Contractor will provide a statement of qualifications, a detailed proposal of implementation of this activity and proposed costs. Contractors are encouraged to provide recommendations for strategies and implementation.  Proposals should be submitted electronically to Thomas J. The successful contractor(s) will be notified of selection within five days after the closing date. Japan 2015


May 15,2015 Japan Retail Promotions.  Code: JP-2014-005 Closed
USHBC seeks qualified firm to conduct a summer retail fresh promotion in Japan.  This includes preparation of instore materials such as demonstrator aprons and hats, arranging a schedule of promotions with retail chains.   Contractor will prepare schedule and estimates on promotions and costs.    Will work with the chains to implement and prepare reports on the activities.  Contractor must have experience in the Japanese fresh fruit business and understand the rules and regulations of USDA Market Access Programs.   Send cost estimate for all time and production or fixed cost to to: tpayne@blueberytech.org

May 1, 2015, Fresh Blueberry PR Campaign Japan.  Code: JP-2014-005  Closed
USHBC seeks a qualified firm to conduct a public relations campaign to support fresh blueberry sales in Korea during the summer of 2014.   Candidate will prepare a detailed PR plan with activities designed to highlight the health and beauty benefits of fresh blueberries.   Target audience are women, 18-40.    The activities can include events, social media, publicity and advertisements.     Send cost estimate for all time and production or fixed cost to to: tpayne@blueberytech.org


India -2015


India Marketing Representative -  USHBC seeks a qualified contractor to serve as in-country representative for the US Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC).  Duties will include: establishing a contact point for market development in India; regular meetings with potential users of blueberries; keeping the USDA-FAS office in Delhi appraised of activities and conducting regular promotions.
Minimum qualifications:
>Degree in business or science
>Experience in Indian Food Industry and fresh produce sector.
>Knowledge of USDA cooperator, USDA and FAS rules and regulations.
Bid should be made in US Dollars at a fixed rate (not to exceed)  Deadline for submissions: January 15, 2014.
Selection will commence soon after that date.
